Remember the days when you didn’t need to broadcast everything you did over a website? Most of today’s internet users and business owners don’t – but that’s okay, because social media is changing the business world for the better!

Twitter is a big deal for small businesses because, in short, they need all the help they can get!

When you don’t have the kind of marketing capital bigger companies have, it can seem an impossible feat to keep up with them. But you don’t have to market more expensively, you just have to market more socially. In fact, Twitter gets new business flowing into your doors (both digital and physical) like very few other free, immediate, and even paid advertising routes can.

Small businesses thrive on personal connections. You have an expectation that you will be relating specifically with your actual users, customers, and market, and Twitter uniquely allows you to do that immediately and for free.  Get wide, instant response from people who are definitely interested in what you’re offering, and allow them to see that sometimes smaller businesses are the better ones.

After all, have you ever heard of Bill Gates engaging directly with his followers?
