Tumblr: It’s All about Analytics!

If you’ve been following what we have to say about improving your SEO prowess, you know optimizing your web presence is all about understanding your website analytics. Every great campaign starts with knowledge, and Tumblr is no different!

Tumblr Marketing

Tumblr can be an AWESOME tool for improving your social reach and web presence, but only if you’re using it right (see our tips for Tumblr marketing campaigns for more on that!). But if you want to really get your campaign going, you’ll need powerful metrics to know how to optimize your efforts.

There’s a good chance you’re already familiar StatCounter as a major data tool in SEO, but did you know they have an add-on for Tumblr analytics, too? And right now you can use it for free!

This add-on feature gives you the ability to track and count visitors and monitor visitor activity and web statistics to see how well your microblog is performing. After all, what good does it do you to re-post a bunch of images if you don’t even know how many people are looking at them?

Use this analytics tool to check which types of posts get the most comments, shares, and views and start targeting those even more so you don’t waste your time marketing with images your market doesn’t respond to. It all just gets better from there!

How do you use Tumblr for marketing? Know any other great add-ons?
